New York City is about to elect a new Public Advocate.
The Public Advocate is something like our city's ombudsperson, elected citywide to serve as a check on the executive branch. A Public Advocate can introduce legislation and issue reports on malfeaseance in city agencies.
We have the pleasure to announce that we are partnering with Bklyner to bring the top contenders to Solidarity Space for a series of intimate forums and Q&A.
Rather than have 20 candidates pile into a room to speak for a few minutes, we wanted to give you the opportunity to meet them one-on-one. Many of them are elected or former elected officials. One helped run the city for four years.
The series kicks off in January. Doors open at 6 pm and we will get started at 6:30. Save the dates below! We will also be booking more candidates.
Solidarity Space is located at 307 82nd Street.
